W900 vs aero for fuel milage

The front grill size of the hood on a W9 is virtualy the same on my T8, except its 8-10 inches taller, but same width. I have a 500 Cat, and pulling my reefer I get about 6 mpg overall, but I dont have the aero shield bird banger ontop of my sleeper. I'd think that a W900 WITH a bird banger pulling a van/reefer, would get better milage than me or at least as good.

Got reefer? and The Challenger Thank this.

I LOVE my W900L...I average 5.5 to 6.5 MPG depending on how heavy my right foot gets. My tractor weighs 19,000 with full tanks (300 gal.),all of my stuff, 15 chains and 15 binders,Tarps, 20 straps and a full set of snow chains.

Side by side with a Junkliner Columbia that pulls for us that is equipped the same way my W9 is only 500 pounds heavier while being an infinetly better truck in all ways.
I would stop driving if all I could get was a stinkin' Volvo.

How is your truck so light?

The truck I drive right now is a W900L, ISX, 13 speed, 120 gallon tanks, 72'' aerocab, not the studio sleeper, 12/40 axles, and with my Microwave, TV, inverter, all my stuff in it, it weighs 21,000. It has no deck equipment either as I pull reefers/vans right now.

Good question....I expected it to weigh more when I bought it but it's pretty light.
