Had a 2011 T800 with that problem. Ended up replacing the return splitter/tee, and blowing out the breather tubes. Seems to have taken care of the problem. On KW the suction is a regular tee, and the return is the special one. I think it cost around $30 and several hours to do. It was a real pain because it is up under cab above trans and hard to reach. $1000 seems kind of high.
Fuel is not traveling between tanks

Both Detroits had that issue. Blowing the fuel line out helps, however. U
You also have the fuel return lines ,, if 1 is plugged all the fuel will go to one tank. I had shutoff valves installed in the fuel lines so I run off 1 tank.JohnSmith69 Thanks this. -

Also and I hope its not but on some older trucks (over 6 years, over 800,000 miles) the rubber fuel lines will swell on the inside and restrict the flow.
