    I can still remember heading out to pick up my first solo load. As I was heading for the gate it hit me, “this is it, you’re totally on your own now”. It was a scary thought for sure. That was almost ten years ago.

    I’ll never forget my first big truck load, 46K lbs of shingles on a flatbed.

    The difference in handling and acceleration between loaded and empty was a shock.

    First time I hooked to a loaded trailer, when I started to take off I thought something must be wrong. Maybe brake hanging up or did I hook up the airlines wrong. Couldn't find anything wrong, so I figured if I didn't see any smoke coming out when on the road it must be ok.

    I remember my first solo load-New Years Eve/Day 2014/2015. 40,000 pounds of DOG KIBBLE-I s*** you not,dog food from Lebanon,TN to Indianapolis. It was an eye opener for sure. You’re certain of your abilities but at the same time something at the back of your brain is yelling at you “WTF am I doing here?!?!”lol
