I'm fuzzy on that one. He might....

He definitely doesn't need placards for 564 lbs though. The thing I was curious about was whether or not there was an identical pallet on the other side, which would've put him in placard territory, and I didn't see any on the wagon.

Ive always wondered. Sometimes when i pick up roofing insulation, they will load a couple pallets of glue on the trailer as well. It is always under 1000 pounds , but ive always wondered if i need hazmat endorsement for that?

I never researched that one. because I never had any need to.

When the tank endorsement was updated where chemical totes now need it, most of our drivers nearly flipped their beanies, where I didn't give it a second thought since I already had the endorsement. It was an easy test.

We do have drivers though without a hazmat endorsement, so if I remember I'll have to ask Monday what the SOP is with them.

No. Less than 1,001 lbs doesn't require endorsement or placards, except on the material.

    Is that for any hazmat?

No. Class 1.1 or 1.3 explosives require endorsement and placards in any quantity, so does radioactive. Also an empty tank that was previously loaded with flammable liquid. There's a couple more, but that's all I remember atm.
