Yeah, he was more than willing to share the bounty. But he killed the guy who shot him in the back. Saying something like, "you made me do all the work and then tried to steal it from me!"

I wonder if that's how some O/O feel after having grinded at $1.50 a mile for a few years, then watch as Johnny Come Lately(s) come along and cut in on their newly found gold mine of $5.00 a mile! LOL

Another morale of the story is that whoever comes late trying to steal all the gold - $5/mile, ends up dead in a hole. Lol.
Well... you know... I'd rather be more delicate...their trucks end up at Richie Bross yards.

Found a new dry van in stock. It's a Strick. Never had to pull one and I bet many people have not even heard about it, that probably explains why it was in stock.
Also the price, it was 32.9k with no tire inflation and no skirts. Just a basic van, which probably was about 29k during normal times.
Last December I paid 33k for a paper spec Duraplate HD, but things have changed since then.
The sales guy said that Amazon and FedEx pretty much bought everything available and that's the reason for trailers shortages .

Good friend of mine does heavy haul. Bought a new PB 389 for like 165k a year and a half ago. X15 high performance motor. Just got it out of the shop after 2 weeks. His jakes were vibrating horribly after 175k miles. They ended up replacing the turbo, EGR and the WHOLE jake system, etc

His friend bought the same truck he did with the X15 efficiency motor the same time my buddy bought his. Several weeks ago his motor sucked a valve, causing major damage.

Cummins had to rebuild his whole motor.

My Volvo D13 is looking pretty good after 458,000 miles :)

Pretty much all the mechanics I know here locally, say that D13 is the best motor out there between new trucks. However, they still say to get rid of them before 700k miles

Received my IRP & IFTA credentials today.

In case you're wondering, the IFTA stickers for 2021 are red ;-)

Also received my annual insurance quote for 2021.

$7,157 for my truck, trailer & cargo insurance.

    Not too shabby.
