My dad gave me some advice many years ago that has helped a lot, "Always make decisions based on the climate, not the weather." Storms come and go, but if you don't like hot, humid weather Texas may not be the place to move to. There will always be conflicts when people are involved, but is the overall climate like? Make your decision based on that. Also the grass isn't always greener.

Well said, but I do believe the grass is always greener in the Lone Star state and if it is not you probably moved to Houston. -

Hello grc, I have been watching your thread with interest since you started it. My interest in Roehl is the reason. I am 4 years older than you are and am jumping from concrete home construction to trucking. Freshly graduated from the Sun Prairie, WI CDL school and 50 applications out in WI.
My questions. Did you have to get a HAZMAT endorsement? I just got the fingerprints done in Madison on Saturday, so I am curious how long the background check takes.
Thanks for all the info you post.

Within 1 week (if that) my license came back to me and was all set.
..as long as they dont find something - the turn around time was about a week or 5-6 business days.
I then applied for a TWIC and was told 3-4 weeks. Took 1 week and it was ready for pickup.
...now waiting on the passport. 4-6 weeks was the estimate but I think I will see it in 2-3.
-H5wire Thanks this. -
