Cool, I'll check them out. I started a "conversation" with you on this site, I'm still new here but seems like a easier way to talk. Thanks buddy.

College is a revolving door for the most part. You go for a little bit, don't like it, or fail. You could always leave, come back, take the necessary steps and resume classes. I've been taking college classes off and on since graduating high school back in 2001. Sometimes an academic subject I performed poorly in the first or second time around sees a vast improvement on the third go-around years later.

Making money in the truck is always soft at first. But then you work your way up into the right spots and niches after a mere, couple of years and then the money gets better. Did for me anyway.

Now commercial flight in either a helicopter or fixed wing aircraft? Unless you were privileged enough to get flight time in the military, those(civilian flight school trained) guys have it rough up until they hit those multi-thousand hour marks. I've been looking at getting some flight training as a sort of "after" career or side-gig. The horror stories I hear about low-hour pilot pay is atrocious. Making near burger-flipper money while scrounging up flight instructor or whatever time-building jobs they could get while creeping to the 1000+ hour noticeability mark. 5-10 years minimum for pilots vs. maybe 2-3 years for truckers when it comes to making some decent scratch post training.

    Definitely.

We should all spend the price of an apparently below average house, depending on where one lives, seeking a masters' degree in ethnic studies or insect mating habits because those jobs certainly abound.

Depends on what degree you got and where you started. STEM fields are always going to be a sure shot, especially for those of us that wouldn't cut it with the more, extroverted liberal arts degrees. I'm confident I could easily get a history or English BA since the subjects don't stress me out. But when the post-grad employment seems to only entail law school, teaching, politics, or customer service, I'd be dead in the water with a $30k-$50k piece of paper.(state schools, along with transferred CC units are much cheaper than the wallet draining, Ivy league or private U's)

That said, just like truck driving, even a person with a BS degree in CS, an engineering field, or even nursing will have to be ready to move around the country to get their foot in the door some place. Leave sunny SoCal or Florida for the frozen wastelands of the Dakotas or Alberta, or vice-versa.

Medical School maybe. Where did you come up with THAT number??? Many Truck Drivers earn quite a bit more than lots of College Graduates.....without the $200,000.00 student loan debt.
