Is now a good time to get into flatbedding

  1. I absolutely don't disagree with LTL Bull's view. I strongly suggest considering both options. It has to fit your needs.
There is still some time to learn tarping before the bad weather comes. I figure you do 3 full lumber loads and 3 coil loads and everything else falls in-between - its not rocket science. No! Your job won't be pretty, but it will be good enough and landing a good job is all about timing. As long as you are physically fit and eager to learn fast you will be fine. Cheers.

    cke Thanks this.

Yeah buddy, I’m 51 and thought I did a lot as a city driver but I dropped 35 lbs after a few months of being a tarp monkey

As far as flatbed right now, im told it slows down and rates drop. Im not interested in pulling a van right now so im going to push through winter amd see what happens.
