Most of the lease programs are a bad deal. They are good for the trucking company but you take all the risk. You have make the payment even if the trucking company don't have the miles you want or they send you bad load going to the northeast. You have to pay lot of tolls in the northeast.

2) read all the leasing threads on here first
3) since you're going to ignore 1 and 2, you need 6 months of living expenses- rent, food, cell phone, car payment, all of it - PLUS 6 months of truck payments. Anything less and you'll be in a bind when something happens.Opus, jinxutoo, Savor the Flavor and 3 others Thank this. -
Their is trucking company in springfield Missouri and the lease trucks. They charge like $1,100 per week that a lots of money. Not many drivers finish the lease because they don't have much money left over. If the driver walk away. They just find another new driver that wants to try it. Over 3 years they get $1,100 per week. That $171,600 you could buy a new truck for that price.
Today new truck are so complicated and expensive to repair buying a new truck a rough game in my opinion. The Freightliner trucks with Detroit Diesel engines. Have a emissions box that goes bad at around 600,000 miles. They are $12,000 to replace the emissions box. That why lots of company lease trucks and dump them at 500,000 miles. Because the repairs on the trucks get very expensive plus the downtime.Last edited: Dec 2, 2020

TransAm does not have a lease program, but we do have an owner-operator program. Additionally, it is the driver’s choice if they would like to become an owner-operator. Thank you!
