    Hey everybody!
Just got problem with one company at Florida, everything was fine until i find better salary rate, soon as left , my employer(5 trucks) had to pay me every 2 weeks like usual but not at last time....all promises to pay continue to 4 weeks....when i called his at 5th week , he sad that he doesnt own me anything bc i have been charged for tires! i asked him written explanation:

-half year ago tires thread was 9/32 when you received truck, but when you returned after 6 months it was 5/32 only! and i have change then and do alignment, and i have to pay as driver 50% cost of tires&labor

I never hear about that in my life!
Good thing i have written answer from him, any idea about next 3 steps to do? i'm really STRESSED UP!
    Thank you

good luck, as a former 1099 employee, in getting anything back that is owed you. labor dept will do nothing for you, heck, i'd be pretty sure small claims court won;t help you.

Lets cheat and not pay taxes and thus not pay for any government services on a 1099 and then whine and still expect the government to help you when you inevitability get screwed.

When did he ask or expect the government to help him? He asked for some advice on what his options are.

And what options would there be that didn't involve the government in some way? Even suing involves the government....

buddyd157 and Western flyer Thank this.

Play your semantics game with someone else...

Way to treat a guy asking for help, btw. Of all the people on this forum, you should be able to give him some of the best advice on a subject like this.

Nope, I have zero sympathy for people that try to screw me over (by not paying their portion of taxes) then come and whine when it's them that get screwed over.

It's not like there isn't plenty of warnings about how bad a 1099 is.....

Western flyer and Grouch Thank this.
