A tire that is run with low pressure will generate more heat.

I am at 250k on average for tire changes with some exceptions, and that is three or four years of tire life - not eight.
AND as for those units, I am getting out of them 5 to 6 years, I get that if you are spinning 2,145,00,000 times, you would fail too. -
If you want this crap on YOUR cars and/or trucks, that's fine...spend YOUR money and either order it as an option from the factory or install an aftermarket system. Don't go telling ME that I have to have it just because you'd rather take the lazy way out and rely upon technology to tell you when something might be wrong. -

My preference for trailer is an automatic air inflation system. Keeps tires inflated during a puncture. The system light on trailer alerts of air being used.
