I'm coming up on 750K on mine. The gear housing is leaking more.
It's getting where I either have to inframe it, cause it's pretty torn apart to do the gear housing, or sell it.
Still runs like a champion. Fires right up. Gets good mileage.
Just starting to leak.rachi and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
Update;
I cleared the 2 codes with the OTR tool I purchased for backup, went to preload locally and the a single code came back on(spn 3226 fmi 20). So I cleared it again with the OTR,( I didn’t do a regen). So this morning I went to deliver my load (ran 200 miles) and no code has showed up. I read some where, can’t recall where exactly, that sometimes the system has to recycle about 3 times(whatever that means) before it completely clears a code, I mentioned on the beginning when I started this thread, that I had the truck threw a code when I purchased it and drove it home. Well that issue was fixed, so I sort of banking on it was the third time this code had surfaced and the recycling period just passed today. Will see..... I’ll keep posting if anything changes.......Getsinyourblood, rachi, nikmirbre and 1 other person Thank this. -
You have your info a bit mixed up.
It may take a few drive cycles for the monitors to run self checks before fault codes return. It depends on the fault setting conditions for each individual code.Diesel Dave, rachi, 650cat425 and 4 others Thank this. -

Cummins in Tolleson did an outstanding job with mine when I had to replace the SCR. That's the big hit.
Mine is a 2250. Had the ceramic plungers in the fuel pump.
It's only $275 for them to swap them for metal ones. I don't know if your's is the same or not.
But that was one of the huge knocks / issues with that engine. If you do it before it's a problem, it's a shot in the dark.spsauerland and Diesel Dave Thank this. -

Update;
I had the inlet Nox sensor(by turbo) replaced. The next day the Def light came on. I did a force regen to a no avail. I took it back to the company shop before it would’ve derate. They had found the plug(hardness) was the issue. Had some debris and it wouldn’t lock correctly. Different tech caught it. So he cleaned it all and connections. Cleared the light and all codes.Cat sdp, Crude Truckin', rachi and 2 others Thank this.
