i have driven my D12 in economy mode every mile for 120000 miles
on every hill and mountain on 80 from Sacromento to Boston
in the winter
most trips are Green Bay to LA and back
governed at 75 so have the overdrive transmission

For IC you need to take it into a Freightliner and have it unlocked get all the features. There was a post about this on Facebook.

I know this thread is a few months old but I wanted to chime in and say im not a fan of autos but if I had to drive one the dt12 would be the one. about a 1/3 of our fleet has them. we have 1st and 2nd gen series. 1st gen is dd15 505 with 2.47 rears, they avg 6mpg or so. The 2nd gen my company spec'd with 2.64 rears and they avg high 7s across the board. I was in one with 38k that did 8.1 avg over 38k. Not even broke in yet and that's a money making truck. Our regular 10 speeds with 2.47s are lucky to see mid 5s but they are 455 instead of 505s. One heck of a jake on those
