Woman dies after running stop sign and hitting semi

    A motorist is dead after running a stop sign and crashing into the side of a moving semi truck on Tuesday afternoon.

    The accident happened on December 8th at around 12:55 p.m. in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.

    Virginia State police say that 61-year-old Shirley J. Scott was traveling along Tom Fork Road near the Morgan Olson Way and Cane Creek Parkway intersection when she failed to observe a posted stop sign and drove straight through the three-road intersection.

    Yeah, hard to imagine a 4 wheeler doing that much damage. She must have been flying.

    Good luck with that.

    One thing they can’t attack the driver or the company for logs. That’s a liftgate trailer, so he’s local.

    We just had an article posted here where the family won $42 million. Because the trailer didn't have a way to prevent the car from going under it.
    Also, local drivers have to follow hos too They just don't need to log if they meet the criteria. One example of a way the company and driver can get in trouble is if he didn't get a full 10 off.
