We ran em wide open when i ran a mack daycab. With the pneumatic it was wide open with a stack blower an no more than a 1000 rpm with a belly blower.

yep, I am just rying to get away from any place that wants me to do what they want. I am planning on getting own authority and using a broker and/or load boards.
I dont like being a employee. I like leaving when I want and being left alone. Last job was good for that but went out of business a few months back.
Got my llc and now working on truck and authority as soon as I find a bank that will loan me a bunch of cash. Going to be pricey letting truck and trailer sit while installing pto and getting a delete done.

We ran cement from ks to des moines. 4 loads and one home to wichita from KC made employer 4k and me 1k. When we lost that load home she went out of business.

Trying to correct an earlier statement, I was referring to the pump for a wet kit on a dump trailer. The last dump trailer , I pulled , the pump would take the hoist all the way to the top , at not much more rpm than the engine idling . I was also informed that excess rpm would be detrimental to the pump. Or any rpm over 1200 rpm.

Yea i wish i was in position to buy my own. My wife an i run team. I'm sick to death of grocery warehouses. I'd rather pull a dump or flatbed.

My trailer will go up at an idle, our trucks won’t pump over 1K RPM.

One of the 2-stick Macks I drove was a roll off truck. In order to run the PTO the main had to be in gear and the compound out of gear. That meant you could run the pump slower or faster depending on what gear you were in.

Some idiot even had the bright idea of trying to tell me "just run it in 1st gear to help pick up that can that's loaded 5 tons too heavy."
