    Hello folks. I need to replace the rear main in my C12. I need the tool to remove and seat the new seal.
    Is there a place I can buy it for a reasonable price? Rent? Does anybody have one for sale?

    One of my concerns is the removal... I am afraid to scratch the housing. It is usually in super tight

    Not sure for your local CAT dealership but my local Detroit dealer has a program that lets you borrow their rear main seal tools.
    You go there write them a check for 800.00 and they give you the tools.
    You return the tool unharmed and they give you back your check to tear up.
    Also not mandatory but it’s always good to give the guys some cash and tell them to get coffee and donuts on you.
    I always toss them a 100.00 but that’s just me...
