Also there is a "Cargill" restaurant service that FFE has. It's a team deal. I got close to running that when I volunteered for work, but I didn't have the hours to do it. I hear it's a lot of hard work, but again the pay is good if you are willing to do it. It did an extra plasma run and then went home due to being out of hours. The Cargill was looking like about 1500 pay for 3-4 days of work. That's what they were going to pay me anyway. But I ran out of time for the week. They won't stretch me at the expense of doing my plasma stuff.
Weighing different options, looking for advice

I have driven for jbhunt in 3 different positions. I like jbhunt, their pay is steady and their benefits are good. However, the money is so so and you are ever so much better off taking a dedicated or intermodal, because otr miles are distributed among all drivers and they often don't have enough to go around.
Jb always needs intermodal in Houston. Regional pays better than local while giving you a set schedule of 5 days out 2 days home. 6th day optional when you want a fatter check.REO6205 Thanks this. -

Make sure you help out local/regional. Not only does it show you are a team player. They pay you well for it, and in the long run you will get the better linehaul loads.Last edited: Dec 23, 2020

So tomorrow is my first week of being with JB, what a show. Orientation took 2 days, got my truck on Thursday of last week, heavily smoked in so I spent a day cleaning it, I’ve been on a wild goose chase for any empty trailer whatsoever, have yet to take any loads since trailers are in high demand.
UturnGirl Thanks this.
