That feels like my Friday. One step forward, two steps back. Woof.
I *think* I have it all handled at this point, though.....

Convoy deleted a couple of my bids. I guess it’s back to business as usual.

There was a few months this summer we stopped doing that run. Figuring that they'd come crawling back to us when ppl were not giving them the same quality we were.......and we were right LOL. The broker talked to shipper and receiver and both of em said they wanted us back.
We have 1 truck dedicated to that. Days that i don't have a reload going back down the next day i find something coming back. The other truck is servicing another account that we've been doing for the last year. Most times we reload out of the same place bringing empties back. Top notch brokerage, I wish everyone was this professional. During covid they never even hinted at dropping the rate.
These 2 steady runs are mom and pop on both endsLostkeys, Midwest Trucker, Scooter Jones and 3 others Thank this. -
Some are predicting a continued boom into next year.
I predicted Trump would win by a landslide, so don't listen to me LOLMidwest Trucker, Dale thompson and SteveScott Thank this. -
For a lot of this year the rates were better in the west than in the east. Now it appears to have flipped. Perhaps the eastern weather is propping up the rates, who knows? Just take full advantage of it while you can.

Im talking about finding a pickup from the south that's not rusted anywhere from 80s square bodies up til late 90s early 2000. Want a chevy 2500 or f250. Something with solid front axle not CV. If i found a 7.3 PS for a good price I'll be all over it. Or a 5.9 is what i really want. P pump motors are where its at
That run i was doing for 7 pre covid a new agent came along and tried to get us to do it for 575. Said he was moving them for that. They would only call us in a pinch and it was still 7 but eventually we just ignored them. Got our original agent back and it's been smooth sailing. Gives us 3-4 days advanced notice. -
Ok my day to be X1, RIP if it's true

Brett, it’s nice when there is a combination of good broker, trucker, AND good customer. End of the day the customer dictates most of it but if everybody values service and longevity over dollar and cents it helps a lot. Congrats on developing what you have.
Lostkeys and Brettj3876 Thank this. -
