Been to Key West 3 times in a truck. Once in a reefer, twice in a carhauler. Cool to do once to see it. After that it's just a pain.86scotty, austinmike, Dale thompson and 2 others Thank this. -
Atlanta, Dallas/Houston, New Jersey & Nashville.
I'm biased towards Atlanta since I have it as a local route now. Always +1 hour construction. ALWAYS a ####ing accident causing huge delays. Every. Single.Day. Doing OTR feels like a dream job compared to dealing with atlanta crap daily. I understand why local guys are always angry. -

SoCal wasn't so bad. I mean, I lived in the HD for a good chunk of my life and as long as one was either in or out of there in a short amount of time, or had a yard to park the truck at, it was good. Of course this thread seems to be aimed at OTR's who have no connection whatsoever to any given area. So I'd day unless you're in some podunk between the Rockies and the Mississippi, anywhere west or east of those zones is pretty much a nightmare for the OTR ilk.
Yeah, like many, I got out of it as soon as I could. But if you don't have that option, all I got to say is do a little homework on the areas you're going to and get as much info as you can before going in. There's still going to be surprises, but any calming of the nerves is better than none at all. -
Northeast Hillbilly, REO6205 and MACK E-6 Thank this.
