Yeah I have read that about the snow. But truthfully I will throw the socks and and go. Usually that’s enough for me now. But I could definitely see where it would be a pita.

the one item I found attractive with this truck is the one box is in amazing shape.

I have a DD13. The only time I've ever experienced the long crank times is right after filter change. It clears the air bubbles after a few minutes of running, and starts fine after that.

If the long crank continues to happen, the most likely cause is the Davco not properly sealed. Usually the dome ring, but could be the vent cap seal. It could also be caused by a bad check valve within the fuel system, although that wouldn't be effected by fuel level. If the problem varies with fuel tank level, there's a marginal seal on the suction side, as lower fuel level equates to a greater negative pressure in the fuel lines when the truck is off.

I hope you plow that cascadia to 1M miles. One thing is for sure you won’t get there without doing some major repairs, so be prepared. And as far as people thinking your crazy for buying a new one i think I topped you. If anyone thinks your crazy them im crazy for sure hahah because i just purchased a 2020 cascadia with 371k miles on it for $92k. I know what your thinking. How did it get that many miles on a 2020 and you paid high price for a used. Well it was run as a team and the vehicle was first picked up sometime in 2019.

I did the maintenance research on it and it had a few tows, the fuel pump went out on it so they dropped the tanks and cleaned replaced the pump. It had other work done on it but nothing as serious as the fuel pump. Sooo im nervous as all hell right now. Good thing is that the owners has a solid Warranty on it which runs about 600k. When i test drove the vehicle it had a slight vibration between 8th and 10th gear and i brought it up to the sales guy then he sent the vehicle for a clutch replacement or other tranny related components. I signed the papers and now I'm waiting for the truck to be done.

I hope to be driving this rig right around 800k-1M but i know i will have to save a good amount for repairs, possible hotel, flights, meals. Running a trucking business is not easy but hey we still gotta keep on trucking.

oh and btw my friend drives a 2016 cascadia shes currently got 800k miles on it. She got it when it was new in 2016. She spent around 20-30k in repairs. She is still driving it today! I mean the good thing about this trucks is the repair network and its vast. Freightliner ownes 51% of market share (correct me if im wrong). Which means you go in the boonies chances are higher that you will have access to a freightliner mechanic/dealer/network.
