@NightWind glad to hear you're trucks about to be up and running again. I had a busy week, typically always is this time of year with everyone trying to get things in before the end of the year, ran a couple of good loads this week, and a nice long one (for me) up towards Huntsville Alabama, I always enjoy the scenery of Chattanooga, the mountains, rivers/lakes, and fall colors up there this time of year. I expect this coming week to be pretty busy as well, and then follow that up by two abbreviated holiday weeks which will be fine with me.

Glad to hear you’re staying busy @Trashtrucker1707 after my sand dumped in Watson we bounced over to Des Moines and loaded scrap for Monday. A busy week and glad to be relaxing this weekend with nothing on the docket but keeping the fire going in the fireplace. Cold in KC this weekend. Spent some time at the Iowa 80 this week. A guy could sure spend some money in that place.

Hoping to pinball some ideas off anyone in here so here we go. Monday loaded a topsoil/compost load out of KC going to Pacific Junction IA. It was pretty much dirt. And it was below freezing. While it came out ok, it could have done a lot better. Mainly the tail and the bottom of the sidewall where the wall curves to meet the trailer floor. I shoveled out about a ton, and then said screw it, the rest will come out with my heavy metal reload. I load it again tomorrow. Almost similar conditions maybe SLIGHTLY warmer, but still not above freezing. I poached about 5 lbs of salt from work and spread across the tail of my trailer tonight and tomorrow morning before I load I’m going gang busters with a sprayer, RV antifreeze and a dish soap concoction. Any other suggestions?
Edit: I should mention I asked about a layer of straw, that’s out. And the consignee has on the instructions in bold, in italics and underlined, “No Diesel!”4mer trucker and 650cat425 Thank this. -

Been a pretty wide open end to the year for me, didn't get in until after 9PM Friday night (I'm typically kicked back and relaxed by 2). Either way I did 3 rounds out, started the week headed towards ATL, went up to Whitestone GA and got marble rock and brought that back to Gainesville, from there headed up to Jax and went out to Evergreen AL, bounced up to Montgomery and got rock and brought that down towards Port St. Lucie, after I emptied I reloaded back out to Pensacola, and then finally back up to Montgomery again for my pre load home.
For what this year has offered us in the way of challenges, it's actually been my best money year to date. I'm hoping '21 rolls out even better. Hopefully everyone has a good holiday season, maybe our new years resolution should be "make this thread great again". Feliz Navidad..........motocross25, 650cat425 and stuckinthemud Thank this. -
Well had a short and easy week. Loaded compost to IA, reloaded auto fluff in Council Bluffs for Rockford IL and then went up to Mosinee WI for landscaping rock. And boy was I in for a surprise. It was 3 different size boulders. I got back to KC with them and the wind was blowing and gusting up to 50 mph. Made getting those out rather interesting. But I emptied out Wednesday and don’t go back til Monday so I’m gonna enjoy my days off and I hope everyone else in here does too. Merry Christmas!
