Parked Regen Required everyday (2010 Freightliner Cascadia)

Well that is the right symptom for the problem to be a bad doser. Though it's a bit hard to imagine that a Freightliner shop would not have caught a bad doser since it's a common problem. Would be nice to know the code it's throwing.

When you replace a doser be sure to clean out the orifice it screws into. i use a gun barrel brush. Soot tends to build up around the doser and can cause it to quickly clog up again if you don't clean it out. Don't worry if the soot falls down into the pipe. Just clean it away from the doser.

The slight surge at idle could be the quantity fuel valve or the high pressure fuel pump. When you have the fuel filters changed check for metal and if there is none it’s the qcv and if so then get out your pocket book. But it’s worth paying to get fuel pump replaced because eventually the metal will reach the injectors.
