Still, it does not feel right. Can I try to be a flatbedder by removing the roof and cutting down the walls from my dry van?

    PPLC and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

He was telling me yesterday one time he was holding onto the curtain when a big gust of wind hit. Lifted him up off the ground a couple of feet LOL

But I'll reiterate it, he works for it. Much more than I would care to. Because as everyone knows, I'm pretty lazy.

Nope. He gets home to his own place maybe 4 times a month. Spends time at his lady's house probably once a week on his route though.

When you're making $3.00 a mile as an owner operator with your heavy haul curtain van and truck that are paid off, and work like he does, you can make some pretty good dough in this business.

    Good for him.
I find that "work smarter, not harder" is not necessarily about making dough as much as about earning legitimacy of someone "working smarter, not harder" but still ...is there enough dough? Your friend figured it out, though - he works hard and makes dough.

P.S. I don't need smarter I need dough. If smarter means anything, I would not drive a truck for half my adult life in the first place...though. LOL
