I'm curious, how did you measure the bridge? Serious question.

First time ever going under it had spotter & was clear. Second time was tape measure after I hit it to see what height was. 3rd time was with one of the Lazer measure things for more accurate measurement.

Doesn’t matter how it’s marked, ultimate responsibility is on the driver, never believe the signs, 13’ 6” is legal height in ny so you were already too tall

it sound like the leveling valve broke and the trailer was riding high

So they forgave it and now are going to unforgive it?
Are you in a sector like restaurant food service that is having hard times?
Sounds like they want to thin the heard without admitting it

Maybe try going to safety person supervisor. Could be the boss said to use it as an excuse to get rid of you to save money, hire someone at a cheaper rate.

you have no proof of an equipment failure, only your opinions. do you have a mechanics signature testifying the equipment failed?

    no..??

then you have no proof of any alleged equipment failure.

now too, i know a lot of these food companies swap out trailers, what are your chances of getting that exact trailer in the shop for a complete inspection?

    what about your tractor?

unless you have proof POSITIVE of an equipment failure, you don't have a leg to stand on.

sucks that they might fire you, have they done so yet?

you may only get charged with a preventable, and if so, carry on.

    as far as labor laws?

    are you kidding me? really..???

    a lawyer..??

do you think he's gonna take your word for it, that it was an equipment failure?

    he's going to NEED proof.

you got thousands of dollars for a defense fund?

something else too that has not been mentioned, is, how was the road surface? snow covered? icy?

snow, and ice build up, will make your rig taller.....as you are riding on that stuff.

If your leveling valve on the trailer is too high, you should be able to hear air exhausting through the valve on the dash. You would also be able to hear it by walking around the back of the trailer. Another sign would be the compressor cycling on every 2 minutes, so you would hear the air dryer purging.

It was dry. No snow or ice. And I do have plenty of money for defense fund and be off work for some time to fight it. Im on paid leave and they do this to ppl because it doesn't pay as much hoping they can starve them out and they quit so they don't have to pay unemployment.
