Were you able to face into the wind, if that would’ve made any difference?

Yes sir I was thankfully. They were real cool and said wherever I needed to be to feel safe dumping, they’d work with. That’s the name of the game in windy conditions facing into it, and luckily with that size rock once they start, they’re coming out. So I didn’t hafta go all the way up. Just eased forward and let em plop. And then trying to angle around to roll the tarp against the wind. Our long trailers don’t have automatic tarps and the wind catches a hold of them and it’s hang on for dear life. I was fortunate there too, they had a building and a few drop trailers and I was able to back in tight to them and use them as a wind block.

The mulch hauling in steel bodies work that I did for a while was always fun in the winter, especially when the load sat overnight. Plenty of time to weld itself to the trailer...

Thankfully that was only a 30 footer.

Oh I know it’s terrible. This is like miracle grow. Just real loamy and loose dirt and when they dump it in the bed it just compacts. It’s pretty terrible coming out. Some guys have less trouble than others. But my trailer floor is so ribbed and dented I don’t think that helps matters much.

I don’t know how pumped I’d be hauling those boulders, so I’ll leave it to you @motocross25. I was able to put 3 loads down in my 3 days out this week, now I’m home enjoying some time off, suspecting next week will be slack as well.

Wow... I thought we went to some dives. Scrap usually spells trouble. What’s that a box of in your passenger door sight window?

Boy ain't that the truth! Back when I was a young pup I worked for a bivocational pastor who had several old end-dumps. One day we hauld a load of boulders so big it only took 5 of 'em to fill up an 18 yard trailer.

My partner had a bathtub with a tailgate that was hinged at the top. When he went up and those boulders started coming down, one of them tore the tailgate right off the trailer.

That's the only time in my life I've ever heard a preacher cuss.
