Hey @Chinatown you live in the Las Vegas area, I believe you've mentioned that on this forum before? Please disregard my message if I'm remembering incorrectly.

I've been doing OTR nationally for 2 years and while an upcoming surgery is going to set me back a bit in 2021, I've been saving my money and have been thinking of places to put down some roots. Vegas being possibly one of them.

I was looking at Zillow tonight and I saw NEW HOMES going for 150k in some kind of nice little community with nice amenities and everything. And it had 3 bedrooms. They're not townhomes but nice single family homes with 3 bedrooms - It looks like a great deal! 150k for a 3 bedroom sounds about what the house prices should be if they were rising at normal rates. I live in the greater Charlotte North Carolina area and house prices are out of control around here, new 3 bedroom houses going for 230k - 250k.

Anyways, these were the only houses in the Vegas area that were NEW and were going for such a great price. I wanted to ask you - Is this area located in "The Hood" part of Vegas (if there is a ghetto in Vegas)? Or is 150k for new 3 bedroom houses pretty normal for the greater Las Vegas area? Do you think those prices will stay like that or are housing prices souring sky high in Vegas like they are in Charlotte?

These were the houses I was looking at on Zillow: https://www.zillow.com/community/tropicana-palms/29268601_plid/

Hoping you can help me out with your input, when you get time of course I know it's the holiday season. No worries if you can't and you're busy.

Some skid marks in the door yard. Cats made such a clatter last night I thought for certain we were having a t-storm. Only gifts I have are the ones I ordered.

You should have ordered more! Therefore, you would have more gifts!

No Santa around here yet either. Only thing I woke up to is a failing basement sump pump and a hangover.
