Are you on another board by another name? If not you are not alone.

I'm not with Swift. I just happened to see your other post and thought it had to be the same person or two folks were getting "Swifted"
I don't have my CDL yet still doing my homework and as on now Swift doesn't look like the first place I'll go for a job. -

I just quit Swift Friday, December 15, 2006. From day one of academy training, my experience with Swift was horrible, stressful and unfair. The fleet managers, Driver managers, dispatchers, processors, etc do not care about the drivers.
I had been setting for 2 months total time trying to get mentors and I sat for 3 weeks before they issued me a truck. I was going broke. Then once I got a truck, it took them 5 days before my first solo dispatch, and I was denied my $500 dollar bonus for first dispatch (which i am having a lawyer look into).
Besides Swift losing my folder work twice, losing multiple logs and my DM not replying to me on my qualcomm, swift's starting pay and load assignments are so horrible that no new driver can make any money until six months of driving.
Plus, I was improperly trained and my cdl exams were falsified just so I could get hired. I didn't do it, the employees of Swift did. They allowed me to pass when I shouldn't have just so they can get drivers. This is why so many Swift drivers are bad. They need better training.
I only had 4 hours of on road driving and the rest were fabricated just so I could take the driving test. And this happens hundreds of times each week with many, many new drivers. Swift needs to be shut down, they are a danger to the highways.
Final statement:
My opinion is that everyone should tell others to not consider Swift when starting in the trucking industry. It may cost you a CDL permanently. -
Hey visvolt,a lot of good points there.dont know where you live, but give Roehl a call.earlier thisyear i came out of retirement and signed on with Swift. They also treat their experienced drivers like crap too.I hooked up with Roehl on their 7 on 7 off program, and its nice to be treated like a human being.you always get an honest answer from dispatch, including night and weekend dispatch. You might not always like the answer but at least its the best they can do.Swift is the most mismanaged company I have ever been invoved with in my many years of work.Their dispatchers,oh excuse me DMs think they own the company and the drivers. You made an excellent move getting out of there, now read a lot of the posts here and pick a good company.GOOD LUCK.:smt039

Do yorself a great big favor and get away from Swift. There are much better companies out there looking for drivers.

i know your right roaddog but since i just finished there school nov 28 the few trucking co ive talked to said i need at least three months btw time also seems swift will not release info that i even went to there school so it seems I'm stuck here at home till they get me a trainer. in the meantime i'm going broke its hard to believe there's a shortage of drivers when swift is slow at putting me and others in my class with a mentor. all they can say is we are short of mentors OK fine if that's the case stop putting people who want to drive threw your school. i know why its for the $$$$$$$$$$ but still don't make it right

I heard mantion a few weeks ago that several companies were having the same problem. Lots of people to train, and not that many trainers. Just hurry up and wait!
