Who me? I just hook my chains so they don’t touch. I can’t ever keep anything between them anyway.

I’m also hauling a container right now. Not this one but it looks just like it! F9F68D89-1F4E-4C7D-9C5D-6425836CA284.jpeg

How about a piece of heater hose on one with holes punched in it and zip tie it through the links?

Is that how ur supposed to chain containers ? I always just chained it at the bottom , front and back . Looks easier to do it crossed like that and probably better securement too. PITA trying to tighten a ratchetbinder against the deck

God prefers Diesels, cke and JonJon78 Thank this.

I had some big pieces of radiator hose another driver gave me, worked great but I forget them on a trailer.

I prefer to cross chain the top corners. It provides much more down force on the container. I don’t feel that cross chaining only the bottoms does anything to prevent the container from rolling off the trailer. I also don’t put any straps over the top.

I have 6 3/8 chains on this 30k pound container. 4 direct and 2 indirect on the bottom. The four direct chains don’t cover the weight legally but they are doing most of the work. This run is 3600 miles and I’ve never had one move on me.

Lamar, Colo pit stop. Some wound wire in spools for making bed springs. I ended up swapping the stake pocket for a ratchet strap one in front and one in back. B530CBB5-6D25-4D2F-9730-52BC9B204E5E.jpeg 6EB1715A-A4F7-4CB9-831E-BF466CC0A08A.jpeg 50638B51-ED8B-4FB3-A892-BDE11E7A950B.jpeg
