I recently changed the governor and the 1/4" line from the governor to the compressor, now i notice an air leak with a ticking when the pressure gets into range to have the compressor start pumping again.
Anyone know what this could be?

Not your air dryer ticking, is it?
-
When it gets to around 100 psi and starting to compress air again it will start sputtering air from the purge. Is it the purge valve that's bad, or unloader maybe?? -
-
No I replaced the quarter inch line that comes off the compressor to the governor on the dryer.
When the air gets down around 100 is when it happens, it expels aire from the purge valve with a pulse to it.
When it gets over 120 psi it purges as normal.tj379 Thanks this. -
If the problem started right after the governor change I'd look there. Be sure you didn't plug the exhaust port on the governor.

ahhhh got ya! i was assuming ur govener was compressor mounted, obviously it is not, im not real familiar with that newer style of dryer but same principle should apply, your compressor and unloaders are working correctly, your signal line is new, so nuthin left but dryer and or check valve in dryer, i would just replace it as a whole but i believe those can be pricey compared to a ad-9 as im used to

It would do it intermittently before now it does it every time.
I mounted the new governor exactly like the old one. Just plugged what was plugged and left open what was left open.
