I get them every once in a while on 287 down by Edison or they're at the NJTP get off ramps south of exit 6.

Couple years back I was running a really nice Freightliner Classic daycab. I had my driver side mirror ripped off by a beat up Century class Freightliner (from Jersey) who was on my side of the road. I had nowhere to go to avoid it. He kept going as if nothing happened.

The old freightliner century and international prostars are replacing the fleet Volvo as the cheap truck of choice now.

Same thing in Texas - they're going 65 whether the speed limit is 50 or 75 regardless of the weather.

My understanding is that FedWreks put a stop to that 75mph stuff. Put a 65mph limit on them. Supposedly if they get popped speeding over that it means trouble for the contractor. I guess they don't care about speeding at 65 or below.

Yeah they used to blow by me until a couple of years ago. Now they only blow by me in poor weather or construction zones.

I've noticed more Big trucks that I call Awwwww -- said sadly. They're obviously former O/O that were well cared for with all the bells and whistles and looks great, .... from a distance.
    Up close?
Crumpled fenders and fairings, bent front bumper, fifth wheel grease on the diamond-plate deck plate, and grimey fuel tanks. Usually hauling containers out of Los(t) Angels Harbor or rail yards.
A sad ending for a classy Big truck.
    YuP!
I wonder if they're all related?
    ShuX Mack, ...
I believe whatever Big truck you drive, you'd make it look better.
No doubt about it. :)[/QUOTE]

I'll bet he just ate some week old Taco Bell refried beans and he's smelling his rancid fart gas. Just savoring it like a fine wine.
