    Yes, I own the truck and trailer outright.

    I've got my toes dipped into a couple of other revenue streams as well right now.

    I'm hoping it develops into enough additional cash to allow me to run my truck and trailer on an even more part-time basis, when rates are seasonally and traditionally higher.

    Thought I'd update my rates for the new year so far. Yeah, I know it's nothing to write home about, but it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

    Miles=0
    Revenue=0
    Rate per mile=0

    Carry on!

    Let the political turmoil dance its dance. In the meantime, I am booked till January 19th. I am taking one week at a time...
    Next week I'll go to Salt Lake City, UT $4100 then I'll bring salt (what else?!) to Pitsburgh, PA for $5000 (plan to spend Saturday and half Sunday at home an route) from there I'll bounce back to Columbus, OH to get some drinks to Connecticut for $2325. I played with Toll-Guru to see transit costs...I should be at $9 600 after fuel and tolls on the 19th. This is good for my formula. Mathematically, I need to gross roughly $17 000 per month with my expected yearly mileage volume to clear 100K after all operational expenses. On the 19th I'll exceed that for January with 12 days to go.
    BTW: Last year's revenue: $220,178 / 110,504.00 miles / 258 days worked / $101 064 operational expenses: I am run solo so all the driver's salary stays with me. I still have to check with my tax preparer but all other payroll costs should not exceed $7k (Soc Sec. Medicare, Unemployment, State Unemployment).
    The revenue would have been better, had it not been for the weeks I took off afraid of the pandemic at some point and then the riots. The tempo I've taken upon myself in the last 6 months is high and I can't say I'll be able to sustain it for years to come till my retirement. I mean, there is still life to live.

    They spend all their money on hookers and blow .. The rest of us just get cheap freight and have to eat ramen noodles and chili beans every night

    Good for you, Joe.

    110k miles in a year, makes me tired and worn out just reading that.

    I ran 74k hub miles last year. I'm hoping now that the truck and trailer are paid off I can run even less in 2021.
