After Riffraffs days. Mine seems mild. Shoot, it was 28 degrees sunny and less than 1.3 miles from the shop I needed to be at for service.

Daaaamn! That is definitely a scary situation. Did you find out what was wrong with the truck? How old is it? How many load straps warm up a truck driver (for science).
-
No idea what as wrong with it, no fuses were blown, batteries seemed fine according to tow truck driver. Even he said it was the weirdest thing he's seen.
For the sake of science, I still frozen.my ### off, had like 4 straps . Needless to say I've invested in an emergency thermal blanket and a satalite phone.
had I been caught in that situation during a snow storm, which isn't uncommon for me to run through during this time of year, I might of ended up on the news.
Definitely wasn't a pleasant time.
In regards to the truck a age, let's just say it had a 7 digit odometer readingLast edited: Jan 10, 2021
snowbird_89, McUzi and 650cat425 Thank this. -
Good lord, that’s horse-####. Glad you’re okay!
-
Where do you get a satellite phone? How much does that run?
-
I ordered ons on amazon, but the cheapest amazon has is like almost 600 bucks
-
Definitely a good investment if you run in remote areas
-
Who makes a living running remote areas and doesn't carry basic supplies like warm clothing?
McUzi Thanks this. -
I'd say thermals and a carhartt count as warm clothing. Yet sometimes what you think is enough ends up not being enough. #### happens. We've all been caught off guard at one time or another.Last edited: Jan 11, 2021
