You picked one day out of 7 with exactly 15 minutes and see a red flag? Quick run down.......first run after home time. Pre loaded trailer in Nogales, AZ. 2000 mile run to Massillon, OH. Live unload in Massillon. Deadhead to LaRue, OH. Drop and hook in LaRue. 1600 miles to Laredo, TX. Drop load at terminal, Pick up pre loaded trailer, head towards Phoenix, AZ. Out of hours on 70. 34 hour reset in progress. I log everything as I do it. Pre/post, fuel, check in, check out, yard moves, etc. This was an exceptional week, that is why I posted it. Sometimes the stars are aligned just right. And yes.......I run safe and legal.

The grass may be greener on the other side, but it is often fertilized with same bull manure.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, all year round.

    I don’t get it?
Averaging only 60 mph. You can put in 660 miles in 11 hours.

That is exactly the scenario on that day. Started my clock 6 minutes before midnight home terminal time. Although, there was not a problem with that 15 minutes anyways. Started the day full of fuel, kept the left door closed and made it to my next stop for a 10 hour break. Most of my loads are 1400-2000 miles. I rarely pull more than 2 or 3 loads on a 70 hour clock. I think that some drivers that have short runs and load and unload daily do not understand how many miles per week are possible. Long haul is my choice. That is why I chose to drive for my current company.

I might also add that 95% of the time, I start my day between 0000 and 0200. I deal with very little traffic for the most part, and am normally shut down before 1400. I NEVER have an issue with parking. I take my 10 hour break and normally start my pre trip and clock within 5 or 10 minutes of the end of my 10. I get paid by the mile like most of us. I have learned to trip plan and maximize my DOT clock very efficently. It normally results in very nice paychecks.

    Just another view.
I’ve had 6 jobs in three years. 5 of those in 2 years. They were all; I can’t tolerate this. Have to find something else.
I was sitting filling out paperwork where I’m at now. Had a driver walk up to me and say: Don’t tell me. You’ve been around. Tired of the BS. Don’t want to put up with the BS any longer. ... I looked at him and said: Yup! ... He said: You found the right place. We have our problems. But none of the usual BS from administration that know nothing of driving.
I came across this because I was planning to visit with an O/O. As long as I was in town. Wanted to check other possibilities. I was honest talking to the manager on the phone. I can push it as well as anybody. But need to recover. Recaps would be fine with me. This guy talked very honestly and unpretentious. Criticized why drivers have left. Etc. ... As it turned out. The O/O had flaky input. Other I talked to we’re playing me. I called this one place back. Told him I’d take it based on him. Been here a month. Very happy so far. It’s OTR. But out and back.

need to cut this short. Just got a call to deliver

And I'm still trying to find mine.

Going to throw in the towel at current gig. That would be 2 companies in a year, six months each

Might sign up for a temp agency until I find a job that offers more work/life balance. I only want to work a max 45hrs
