Sigh!!!! Things started out so well. Had a preplan even before I headed home for my time off. Came out and had just enough time to drive to Dodge City and get a 10 in, then the load going to VA was ready to rock. Left out at 0115 and was rocking along. About Lawrance, KS, the QC mail lite lit up. #### good thing I was hungry and had stopped at mickeedees. MSG--bring the load to Olathe. Had to swap with a guy going home and am now heading to Plainview, Tx. Going from a 1350 miles ld to 656......sucks! Big time!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I won't sit down there long enough to do a reset. Am so pissed at the moment that if that happened, think I'd just D/H home, clean out the truck, take it to Olathe and tell them where to shove it.

Hopefully I'll wake up in a better mood. We'll see I guess.

We are in Buffalo NY (streets are narrow here) sitting at the shippers but they won't unload us until our app time which is 0500 our time I was hoping they would unload us so we could head to our next pre-set.

 

Change of plans...I will be heading out to utah for class on the 2nd!! I just ordered my plane ticket and got my final list for school. I was planning on going to atl. but get this man, they dont have any dorms/facilities or hotel arrangments! Sooo....I didnt want to make a hour 1/2 drive twice a day to school and the utah facility looks like the ritz in comparison, not to mention I would like to get some mountain driving in anyhow. So is anyone else going to Utah on the 2nd??

Was going to fly out Sunday, but fares were twice as high or more, so going Saturday night.
UT as well. No dorms and no hotel contracts yet in GA.
Got a cheap laptop today. Battery won't hold a charge, but it runs good on elec cord. Going to put Win7 on it tomorrow and see if it can handle it.

Would you by chance know the starting pay they offer? Also do they by chance offer any type of benefits? Ummmmm, When it comes time for the physical what if you are under the impression you have no problems and then they might see high blood pressure or diabetes or any other issues, do they make you leave and then coe back when you're ready? how exactly does that work?

You can go to a walmart or drugstore to check your bloodpressure for free. For some, their bp goes up when they drink stuff with sugar and caffine. So, I would skip breakfast and only drink water until the physical is done.

Benefits start after you are actually hired.

I was worried about my BP when I went. I was borderline when I tested at home. I cleaned up my diet and didnt eat or drink anything but water before thye checked the BP. It ended up being a LOT lower than when I checked it a few weeks before.

 

Well, I finally tethered my phone lastnight to my laptop. Great speed and now I can browse easier than using the phone or looking for free wifi on the road lol. My plan has unlimited data on the phone. We shall see lol. getting 750KB-1.5mb a sec speed so far.

 

Now Widow, you need to quit lieing to all these young and impressionable people. We all know that you are just hitting your peak and really don't need the rest between breaks. 1Bad however is another story. He passed his peak aloooooooong time ago and does need the rest/.
