Rolling closures on 80. Stopped 2x and when I stopped to see the conditions it was listed as open again.

How far did you get? Ohio? Does your company care about tolls? Or pay for your parking if needed?

So stopped just west of joliet, il. At a rest area. 482 miles into the run to Rhode island. 3rd night solo and 1st road cooked meal. Forgot to take a picture before I started eating. Chicken with baby carrots. Smothered in fire roasted tomatoes. Crock pot for 4 hours on high.

Well turns out I didn't have to do that. I had staged up for it. But all the washes are closed on Sundays. Called dispatch. Their like, "says here they have trailer wash on site." So no need. Plus I scaled the empty. Like I was told. Even confirmed it the night before with dispatch. Shipper is like, "nope. Don't need that."

But to your question about being paid to do it. No. But not hard to drive up and say wash her out. LOL

It'll only be day 4 for me, should make Winnemucca if things go well. Just remade the bed, going to try sleeping with my head on passenger side so I can plug in my electric blanket.
