I know this is an old thread but I had a guy at PP telling new injectors would fix the piston slap I have in number 6 lol. So then I took it to a guy at a Cat dealership and he said he couldn’t even hear it which is funny because it’s clear as day which just makes me think they want these bad ### engines off the road or something. Anywho, I talked to Bruce some time back about when I was buying a truck and he gave me some good advice so I can’t knock him but the flake I talked to last week seemed as bad as some of these Cat dealers trying to sell new (allegedly) ECMs for $3k as well as wanting to charge 25 hours of labor for a head gasket which is at least double of what some shops want to go.
