Don't take it so hard, tidbit. I was asked today what good a sidekit is because all I can use it for is coils. I just chalked it up to someone speaking beyond his knowledge or experience.

Most guys here are just trying to help. I know they come off as harsh or arrogant or rude, but you can't read into it. When you gather a ragtag group from all corners of the world, not every personality will be one that goes well with yours. I'm guilty of both taking things differently than they were meant and also as coming off as a pompous jack wad. Neither is on purpose, but sometimes i gotta sit and think before firing off a comeback.

You're a fine young man who does well in this profession and helps improve our overall image the best you can. Don't let one load kick you in the pants. You did your job and did it to the best of your ability with no harm to anyone and no damage to any property. Just keep on truckin!

@D.Tibbitt you weren't set up perfect equipment wise, and you still made it happen. I don't know much, but one main reason I chose open deck is because you have to think outside the box. You have to get it done.

    You got it done.

Not at all. Maybe from the mill, but from any distributor it's pretty common. My trucking business was born out of my hardware and lumber business, which we still do. Weyerhauser has mills and distribution. I've actually gotten loads from Weyerhauser distribution that had five different manufacturers in the same load.

You can always take your hook off a chain so you can feed the chain thru a tie down point and then put the hook back on. I have done that many times.
