Glad I took the week off to do my taxes. I'd be stuck trying to get home. All roads leading into and out of California in the north are either closed or really messed up right now. Here is the Love's in Weed CA yesterday. I-5 is still closed.

That reminds me that I need to get over to the yard and start my truck today. Haven't moved it for over a month now.

Last week was 2.75 all so a .34 drop.
Half a foot in the poor house.
I do feel kinda bad for new entrants and this covid stuff though. We’ve had a ton of trouble with getting titles processed and things if that nature. I can’t imagine being new and trying to navigate this crap through mail with no in person. Makes me wonder how many go broke or pull the plug before even hitting the road.Scooter Jones, PPLC, 062 and 1 other person Thank this. -
New entrant here.
So far everything has been a smooth process. Only hiccup was having to reschedule my appointment with the DMV to do the VIN inspection for title transfer on the truck. All the stuff that hasn't required any face to face interaction was straightforward and processed quickly.Midwest Trucker, PPLC, dwells40 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I renewed yesterday and it took over 30min to check in with only four people ahead of me.Midwest Trucker, PPLC and dwells40 Thank this. -
I was reading yesterday on a Landstar thread and the guy was saying he was averaging over $3.25 a mile after LS takes their cut! Said it would of been more like $3.50 a mile but he deadheaded home and it dropped his average.
My average for the past 5 weeks is still $0 a mile. So I got nuttin' to brag about.dwells40, Midwest Trucker, Brettj3876 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I will say that I have been getting a few more calls and emails for my lane the past couple of days. That's probably only because I-5 has been intermittently shut down in N. California due to snow and these shipper/brokers are having a lot of fall offs.
Man, I just love being able to tell these brokers to give me a call when Spring arrives LOLLast edited: Jan 28, 2021

Bout 1000ft elevation change down to the hard road. My house is left screen center.
That sharp hairpin corner is about 15% grade with a steep cliff Lol
