    Pay it and move on.

here is something of a suggestion, make a to do list for each task for each truck and put it on your calendar both on your bulletin board and your phone to take care of when it is time to do it.

As a side note, I had no idea you were required to have proof of UCR in the truck. In all these years and many inspections, I’ve never been asked for UCR proof. I just always assumed it came up when they ran your DOT number.

We are current, I guess I need to print off proof and put a copy in all the trucks.

You are not for UCR, it just needs to be paid current. IFTA yes, and even during the grace period you still need paperwork for IFTA from last year until you.are displaying the new decals and have the new IFTA license copy in your cab.

I believe Oklahoma is like that. The UCR yearly fee isn't on the driver, because they have no way of knowing if the company paid it or not, however a lot of states make the ticket out to the Driver and Company. This way if the Company fails to pay it, the poor driver gets a warrant for their arrest. The IFTA has to be filed for by the 1st of the new year.Typically a 30 -60 day Grace on actually displaying the sticker. If you didn't file yet on your IFTA, some states willshut you down.I think the UCR fine is around $400, not sure of the ifta ticket.Just what I seen anyway

Must depend on the state..I was in identical situation in Virginia years ago and they wrote the company a ticket and I was sent on my way.

I would say the size and standing of the company have a lot to do with that. Some fleet with 100 trucks will be more likely to have the ticket sent to safety. Some guy with 3 trucks may never be seen again.

Oklahoma is greedy!!!!(Coming from TX right?)
They fined me last year for NOThaving my sticker $125, I didn't feel like messing and disproving them at the station, even though I know if you already have it but have not gotten back to get it from home office they can't charge you for that, but I had ran so much that when I got to them I was in the mindset of "WHATEVER " and ready to get down the road to flying J and eat and rest....
But you can ask them to see the law!!!
Driver can send you a picture or you look up law, but as long as it is in possession of company you're good...
At that particular weight station the Boss is on duty most of the time...
It's frustrating, but it's on you brother...
Most of the time Oklahoma will hold until fine is paid....

Actually the driver should have made sure it was in his permit book , and looked for expired permits.
Any driver with some whiskers in this game should do a complete pre trip which USED TO include the permit book before leaving the yard , including the trailer paperwork.

Maybe next time you'll put it on the truck, if it is not on or in the truck then your at fault. Pay up and get your driver out of a situation you created.
