    I hope someone can post a fmcsa reg, but I believe that blade needs to be secured. Which is gonna be tough to do when it’s hanging off the rear. I think any boom, blade, bucket, etc, any removable attachment is required to be secured. Some things, like the ripper on a dozer, or the bucket on a small tractor, I seldom see secured.
    At the least he should hang a flag, I didn’t see any.

    That’s only applicable to wheeled or tracked vehicles over 10k pounds in weight. That truck is probably pretty close.

    I would bet that one ton dually with a dump box like that and a snow plow on it is over 10,000 lbs.

    My 2016 Duramax with a flatbed, custom toolbox, and 100 gallon slip tank full, weighed 11,200. Pickups these days are heavy.

    Everybody's diesel pickups are over 7500 lbs nowadays, They are about a thousand pounds heavier than their gas equivalent . An F-550 chassis like that is almost 8500.
