After years in electronics, more years in construction, and raising 8 childresn, we have little. I am in truck driving school and hoping for a couple of years income and some investments to start bringing in some passive income. I love traveling and believe trucking will be a means to an end. I am 68 and have the usuall aches and pains, but think I can handle the job. I start some on the road training on monday then the following week skills, then DMV test. I am excited.

    Welcome WRASH001,
I'll be particularly interested in your progress and experiences as I am a 55 year old newbie (won't start til next summer) and hope to drive for 10 years or more. I know that just because you can do it doesn't mean that I can (too many variables) but you'll be a pretty good barometer.
My DOD (dear old dad) just turned 84 but got his Bachelor's Degree just last December at age 83. He goes to the gym 3 times a week for water therapy, has a vegetable garden, goes to church at least 2 times a week and still mows his own lawn. There are a lot of much, much younger men who couldn't keep up with him. His greatest attribute is ATTITUDE! I hope some of it rubs off on me as I begin my new career. Best of luck to you!

I worked at continental express years ago. We had a driver that was 74 years old, and just as sharp as a 30 year old. So, best of luck to you.....
