I understand a company must manage it's risks and costs. But I also believe it's only as good as it's workers. Workers tend to give more and support their company when their company takes care of them. Everyone remember ENRON? What a shame what happened to those employees. The CEO's, COO's, the higher ups knew the company was failing. They decided to take out their stock options. The company tanked. The workers were left out in the cold. People who worked over 30 years had nothing or lost everything. What a dam shame! Aren't there laws on the book to protect workers from these kinds of crime?

No pay scale before weigh station means dodge the weigh station. No hometime on return load means dont accept it until you work out hometime on quailcom. Ive 1 scale ticket in many otr years and I paid it. I had many chances to scale it. I wouldnt let the company pay it. It was about 200$. The company should pay to park. I always pay and turn it in. Cheaper than a ticket.

Did you learn that in the one whole year that you have been driving? I respectfully disagree.
    just my honest opinion.

As a "business owner" .. I would avoid hiring "yahoos" ...

Thus leading to an overabundance of yahoos on the road ...

Makes sense to me ... :biggrin_25523:

Maybe in science fiction novels ...

No, the drivers are the ones "layin' it on the line" ... as in the ones who actually risk their lives and sacrifice every day.

I am an entrepreneur, and in business outside of trucking ... those "beaten into submission" are usually those who don't understand who really makes or breaks a company ... any company ... the employees.

How about "broke companies" like Arrow? Happens all the time.

BTW - "Ethically bankrupt" is just as bad.

    Best! :biggrin_25525:

Agreed, Roehl like another Company needs to make a profit.

However I find it ethically wrong for this Company to keep bring on more and more drivers and training more students. When they do not have enough work for the driver they already have.

They don't care if you are loosing your house or that you are working for nothing after paying for your daily expense. If this Company wants to do right by there employees they should give the drivers the miles they deserve and need to make a living.

At least you found out what trucking is all about before you wasted years of
of your life in this business. There are trucking companies a lot worse than the
one you just worked for. Most people that try to make a go of trucking find out
in a hurry that its not for them.Looking at the way things are going its obvious
that this industry is going down hill in its treatment of truck drivers even though
the drivers are the backbone of the industry. Its not going to improve as long as
the ATA and the politicians they buy are calling all the shots.
