Do you use straps more than chains? I use chains more often than straps. Every winter I usually go through 3 or 4 pairs of gloves.

I'd probably agree that straps and the associated grime and friction really do a number on gloves. I've got a pair of kinco pigskin insulated, much like those, but not waterproofed. They're pretty stiff after drying and already have a cut in them after a few uses, but they're not falling apart yet. I actually bought a glove drier before winter to try and keep my gloves fresh. It's 12V and plugs in the cigarette lighter plug.

Lately been mostly chains. But id say majority of my stuff is straps and tarps... use these gloves for everything, fueling, tarping, securing, throwing tire chains, etc probably going to buy another pair.... Ive never been fond of leather gloves because they are bulky and make it hard to pickup stuff on the ground or on the deck...

Folding my 8’ers in the wind last week made me feel really old lolol

The real kick in the huevos was helping a driver fold his before I even got mine off and him jumping in his truck to warm up while I then struggled with mine. I guess that is how some folks roll lol

Just remember him and if you come across him again leave your gloves in the truck and get out and just talk to him, about many inane things to distract him and when he is done thank him for the entertainment.
You might ask him for a thank you from last week.
