    Another reason companies are still hiring Is because the baby boomers are going to start to retire, they make up a big part of the trucking industry.

    yea and what makes it hard is my ex-husband ,who couldn't shift worth a sh** is a truck driving school instructor after his 5yrs on the trk with me. and he is turning out twice the amount of newbies per month, i've seen in my 9 yrs otr. and yet he said he can't pull no strings to help me get back on the road.

    Transportation Worker Identification Credential. It is more or less a card showing that you are who you say you are, and that the Coast Guard says you can enter a port facility.
