I'm curious of where you ended up? I can relate because I just moved from Tampa to the Houston area. Actually staying in a hotel in La Porte, getting my DL transferred ( which btw was a pain and something you'd want to investigate if you haven't made the move yet ). I'm a Fuel Hauler but am interested in switching to chemical. Hazmat Guru has been very helpful in this area.

I actually moved to the dfw area (Arlington) in November and we couldn't be happier. I was able to land a job with a company I worked for when I lived in Orlando. Funny I still have my PA license because I don't want to lose my hazmat at the moment, even though I just renewed it in September.
I go down to Houston pretty often and do like it, but now that we are up here think we'll just end up settling down somewhere on the fort worth side. When I was in PA I worked at Univar, they're a chemical company, pretty much run tanker or dry can with multi stop deliveries. Brenntag is their competitor and they do the same thing, check them out. Good luck, welcome to TX.
Not gonna lie I do miss the sunshine state, but hated the job opportunities down there.

John Joel Glanton and Lotus Thank this.
