Hi everyone. Probably an easy question, but I've been told two different answers.
Does anyone know if in Michigan to get the Tanker (N) and DoubleTrailer (T) endorsements on the your CDL do you need to do your road test with a tanker and/or double trailer?
Thanks in advance!![]()

CDL is not bound by State Law, it's Federal, so it's the same in every State (or at least should be in theory).
Those are endorsements where you take the written test, you can add those any time just taking the written test to add them. Driving test would only involve a combination vehicle with air brakes, does not specify what kind of trailer you have to pull. -
You only have to take the written test for those two endorsements. -
OK, that's is what I thought, and that's what my friend told me. I took all the written tests today for my T.I.P and just did all the endorsements so I would have them if needed.
When I called to talk to the school I'm pre-enrolled at, who ever answered freaked out that I did ANY endorsement test, and said I would need the proper vehicles to road test with.
Both of the people I wanted to talk to are out of the office until Monday.
Hopefully, they just had a random idiot friend on phone duty today.
