Plenty of time on the loads. Usually very easy for me to move P/U and DEL times earlier. Not sure what it was like before I showed up last March. On occasion I may be given a Fuel Stop for 60 gallons to get me to an optimal spot to fill up. It has never been an issue for me. I have NEVER had 2 or 3 50-60 gallon fuel stops in a row. Hey......I'm 60 years old. I have to stop and pee a few times in a drive shift anyways. I'm not disrespecting anyone for their opinion. It has never cost me miles or a late appointment time.

  3. No ...In hindsight it probably wasn't that bad. It just seemed like you always ended up at the fuel island at the worst time of day and you can't bypass it. you might get stuck for an hour or longer.. we have all done that. But like i said before, Great company and Great mechanics and no longer having to chase that 13,000 mile carrot sounds nice.. to answer your question... you have plenty of time ..but not too much time ...but you spend your day driving not sitting at a dock..that is the best part.

I have never waited an hour to fuel in almost 5 years out here. Please let me know that fuel stop and I will do a "drive by". The nice thing with the new HOS rules is that we can combine On Duty with Off Duty to get a 30 minute break in while doing a fuel stop.

I start my day between 0000 and 0200 over 95% of the time. I RARELY shut down any later than 1400..PARKING IS NEVER AN ISSUE! I set MY OWN SCHEDULE. If I want to run recaps I run recaps. If I want to burn my 70 in 7 days and take a 34, I take a 34. I SELDOM if ever get a phone call from ANYBODY in the office. I am the "Captain of the Ship" It is a real simple formula..... Pick up and deliver on time, do not hit anything or anyone, do not get a ticket of any kind, just don't f-up, get the job done, life is good.

  9. Are you still running broker freight or has things picked back up.. I remember when KW/Chillicothe was slowing way down before the virus..

Things are rocking right now. I started at the end of March last year......right at the beginning of this "pandemic" BS! April and May was a bit slow with some brokered freight making up the difference. Paccar shut down their worldwide operations for a couple of months which slowed things down for awhile. Since June of last year I have not stopped moving. Been getting well over 3000 miles per week consistently. I am very happy at DHT. Their operation fits MY WANTS AND NEEDS very well. I plan on driving for 5-6 more years. At this point in time I have no reason to think I'll drive for anyone else until I retire. My first Grandchild is due in June. I'll probably slow down my schedule in a couple of years to spend more time at home to be "Grandpa". In the meantime, I will continue to live in my truck and fill up my bank account while the money is here to be made!

    xlsdraw and Need4Speed Thank this.
  11. Wow .. That sounds like a deal .. I was turning 3000 every week with them when I left to go to the Philippines Jan. 2020.. I did 3750 1 week.. and had 1.5 left on 70. They definitely have the long easy miles. I got 10 more years and I am done.
