Looking to switch careers...from PA

I live in PA and work in an office all day and drive rollback part time. I have been around trucks all my life...my parents were truckers for Mayflower Moving Comapny and my dad recently retired as a Shop Foreman. I have wanted to get into trucking for a while but couldn't because of the wife at the time. Now I am going through a divorce and feel it's time to do what I have wanted to. I will be doing research and looking to switch careers in the next few months. Thanks in advance for all the informative posts here!

Usually you drive first then get the divorce . just kiddin , more power to ya if you want to do it .

WELL, hopefully, he can get thru the thing ok, then he can enjoy his NET take home after he pays her forwhatever he has to pay her so he doesnt have anything left....Wonder if its possible to be in the unemployment line WHILE hes workin?

BigDeal, How is the weather up in PA? It's flooding down in GA. I am an old newbie, changing careers once again. I start at Central Refer on 11/30 in the ATL. Due to the fact I really don't know #### about the trucking industry, I read a lot of these postings here to help me as I approach my new job. If I had any knowledge I'd recommend a company. I chose my path due to several personal reasons, and I'm happy so far. Of course it may turn into a nightmare quickly after I get to Conley (ATL). Can't be as bad a Nam was so truth be told I'm pretty excited, and I don't think any company can put me through as much #### as special forces training and the little brown guys did. Anyway, welcome to "Aunt Bea's Gossip Central" (actually I love this forum), and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Peace, Scott

It's a bit chilly up here! Getting ready for winter. Flooding? That kinda sucks. Hopefully not too bad. Good luck to in driving truck. Will you be OTR after training? Yeah I don't think any company can be worse than that stuff you went through!

RaceFan - Thats awesome you get to learn on different equipment! Variety is good sometimes. North Carolina is a nice state. Yeah it's a bit chilly up here! I'd rather be a little further south where it's a bit warmer. Good Luck to you to!

Hahaha Yeah I'm doing it ### backwards with the divorce I guess. Well I don't have to worry about paying the wife. Fortunately for me and her it's a mutual breakup and neither of us owe each other anything. It's actually not a bad situation like most divorces.
