Kenworths were considered the Caddies of the trucking world. Petes were the less respected Lincolns. Freightliner and International were your Ford/Chevy, and Volvos are the piece of crud foreign job.

I love how some of you guys always jump the worst conclusion immediately. Let's see, over a million trucks on the road in the U.S. Add to that this truck rolling 1. in the winter (which most of us have to) 2. on I80 in Wyoming (which lots of us have to) 3. in seriously bad weather (which some of us have to) but nooooooooo, because he had a wreck he's an outlaw, speedy super trucker who doesn't know what he's doing.
Accidents happen. Keep at it long enough and you're the super trucker who made a bad decision.....or mistake.....once. Looks like the company does really well but one guy makes a mistake and gets crucified on here.Isafarmboy, BoostedTeg, drvrtech77 and 10 others Thank this. -
Snow plows are rolling road blocks. They blind everyone with lights and powder, and they turn the roads into an ice skating rink. They're a f'n MENACE. Far safer to just buck snow.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but that's my two cents.Northern Nomad, Bean Jr. and 86scotty Thank this. -
This is why in weather like this you either slow it down or shut it down-no load is worth ANYONE’S LIFE!Dennixx, Just passing by and bzinger Thank this. -
I agree, and they do weird things. They slow down and stop in the middle of the road, lots of times turning around. Most of us would be wise to remember that they aren't other drivers, they are equipment operators doing work on the road, the fact that their machine is also a truck is secondary. In other words, the wise driving maneuvers WE abide by all the time are not their primary thought most of the time.
We don't know how bad conditions were in the wreck above, snow plow could've been sitting still in the hammer lane, but of course the driver now goes down in history as an idiot supertrucker.Caterpillar Cowboy, Badmon and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
Badmon, God prefers Diesels and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Mind you,I’m almost fully loaded (with full tanks on the tractor, reefer and a full DEF tank) but make no mistake if the weather conditions warrant it I’m shutting down-even then I still get paid!
Also,I’m not the one who gets to explain to Wyoming Highway Patrol or my company how I got into an accident with a WYDOT snow plow!Last edited: Feb 14, 2021
