No, they don't test for steroids.

 

I can say with certainty that a steroid will not return a positive DOT drug screen. However, if you were prescribed the steroid by a licensed medical practitioner list it on your intake form and bring the meds with you, if possible. Also, all drug screens in general are specifically targeted only to the drugs being tested. Regardless of the methodology used ie. Urine, hair, blood, etc. Check Drug Testing for more info.

 

when have you ever seen a place to list current medications on a drug test form? In almost 20 years of driving i have never seen or been asked that question during a drug test.

this also leads into your advice about bringing your prescription with you, why? They don’t have a lab or test the sample at the collection site. The sample gets sent to the lab & tested there.
